The Dip
The Dip is a Seattle-based Rhythm and Blues band that is known for its poignant songwriting, detailed arrangements, and vintage sound. Featuring a three-piece horn section, the group’s music harkens back to earlier soul and funk influences while hinting at the jazz foundations that brought the band’s members together.
With a distinct sonic character that has drawn in millions of listeners to date, The Dip released their latest, fourth full-length studio album ‘Love Direction’ in July 2024. It is their second with Dualtone Records, the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Sticking With It’ which landed at #1 on the Billboard Current R&B Albums Chart.
The band headlined and sold out shows at iconic venues across the country last year including San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore, Washington DC’s 9:30 Club, Webster Hall in New York, Austin’s historic Scoot Inn, two nights at Thalia Hall in Chicago and two hometown shows at The Showbox in Seattle. They have also had the opportunity to support new friends like The Black Pumas and The Teskey Brothers, while also appearing at major festivals including Bonnaroo and Outside Lands.

Plain Faraday
Plain Faraday is an independent music project from Denver, Colorado. Their unique sound pulls from a variety of genres – influences of folk, indie-rock, Americana, jazz, Neo-soul, and pop abound. The group’s quest for meaningful lyrics and dynamic compositions are guided by a respect for wood and steel, times past and present.
Over the years, Plain Faraday has shared stages with prominent artists like Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners, Proxima Parada, Moon Taxi, Trash Panda, Happy Landing, Emily Brimlow, Susto, Dustbowl Revival, and others. They’re known for their energetic stage performance and engaging sound.
In their time together, the band has released several singles and two EPs. Their first self-titled work (a 7-track EP) was a testament to their indie-folk roots, but subtly hinted at their exploration into new musical spaces. Their second EP, Pink Blazer, was released in the summer of 2022 and fuses catchy indie-pop hooks with elements of jazz and alternative funk. They’re currently writing and recording their first full-length record.
“The Denver-based four-piece leans into a warm, jazz-infused sound, somewhere between Tom Misch’s groove, Fleet Foxes’ harmony-rich folk, and the easygoing charm of Jack Johnson.” – 303 Magazine
